A recent report says 37% of drivers indicate having fallen asleep while behind the wheel sometime in their lives, and 11% having done so in the past year. If that statistic isn’t scary enough, the report when on to show the more serious the crash the higher the incidence of a drowsy driver involved. Of the nearly 15,000 crashes reviewed in the study, the ones resulting in a fatality had a drowsy driver involved 21% of the time.

So what is the obvious conclusion? When you begin to feel sleepy while driving, don’t wait, pull over and get out from behind the wheel. Please do not add to these dreadful statistics. Your family and friends will be grateful.
